Hello everyone, I'm Sara Smania, President of Rochester Recreation Club for the Deaf and it brings me immense joy to be here with you today.

​

Being a part of the Rochester Recreation Club for the Deaf fills me with pride and purpose. The positive impact we make in the lives of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community in Rochester is truly inspiring. Serving as the current president of this club is a humbling honor.

​

My passion has always been to support others, especially in connecting with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals in our community. Just think, we have over 60,000 people in Rochester who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

​

Our clubhouse is a sanctuary for many of us, and I hope to see it standing strong for generations to come, providing a place for meaningful connections and cherished memories.

​

This year, we have some wonderful events planned, and we hope to have the pleasure of your company at each one.

​

We eagerly await the opportunity to get to know you, see you at our gatherings, and serve you in any way we can.
